The next day you are so excited to finally see how many people have read it or even commented.
First you open you blog to check for any praise giving comments............ nothing.
Okay you're not deterred, you say to yourself "anyway, at least I know people read"
You check your traffic stats....
................... 0 or maybe 1, you get excited then suddenly realize it's yourself! You get even more frustrated.
Now what do you do? In this case you are one of two people. Either you:
- Get totally discouraged and swear to yourself that you will never blog again (or at least for sometime)
OR
You get back on it and try to find out where you went wrong.
If you belong to the first group, change that attitude. Rome wasn't built in a day. You have to start small for you to become big and decide that you have to become part of the second group.
If you are part of the second group, you have the right attitude. The main problem would probably be that you are not promoting your site effectively and there are many ways to do this and the main way being through through SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Performing SEO on your site simply means making it search engine friendly. Think about it when you want to find something on the internet, where do you go? A Search Engine. Whether it's Google, Yahoo or Bing,(Google dominating the market) someone will use a search engine like it or not.
