Finding a profit-making niche for your blog Part 1: Adsense

This guide is strictly for people who want to make money from their blogs. If you are just in it non-profit then you are free to skip this.

In this guide I will talk more on finding adsense profitable niches. First let me talk a bit on adsense. Adsense is Google’s advertising system in which Advertisers pay Google a certain amount of money whenever someone clicks on their ads. This is called a PPC (Pay per Click) Campaign. When you sign up for adsense as a partner, Google gives you code to place on your site. This code generates advertisements related to the topic of your blog post.

For example, if your blog post is about “cars”, Ads will be placed on your post page related to cars and if someone clicks on that ad, Google gets paid and in turn gives you a cut of the profit.
These ads don’t cost a lot per click and range from $0.01-$5.00 a click depending on the competition of the particular keyword. So all you have to do is drive traffic to your profit making niche site, which increases the probability of people clicking on ads to your site making you a profit from almost nothing.

Since you have decided to start blogging, you probably have an idea for a topic that you are really interested in, but is it a profit making niche? You can find out whether your niche topic is profitable or not. Follow the following step to research your keyword.

2.       You will find a search box where you will search for different keywords
3.       Find the keywords that have at least medium competition and a good number of monthly searches, it is easier to compete with medium competition sites than high competition sites. When you dominate, medium level competition you can try and go for the higher competition keywords. The fact that you are choosing a fairly competitive niche opens you to other ways of making money which I will discuss later in this series.

4.       Build your blog around the keyword you have chosen and perform On page and Off page SEO(Search Engine Optimization). There is more on SEO in this blog.
